This is real life. The truth is, I'm not that great at it. But this is it, and it is my life. You want me to post pictures of what I wear every day? You'd have a collaboration of different yoga pants, and oversized t-shirts--some worn multiple days in a row {cringe}! You want to know my toddler lunch meal ideas? They often vary between dino nuggets, pb&j, or ravioli--but hey, at least it's the frozen kind and not Chef Boyardee...although that has made a few appearances! You want pictures of my home decor? Well my house is usually a mess. There are dishes in the sink and laundry to be put away. Most days, with my two crazy sidekicks calling the shots, I don't have time to shower, and rarely even do my hair {am I really admitting this in a public forum?!}! But this is life, and it is my life. And I'm lucky enough to get to share it with an amazing husband and the 3 cutest kids in the world, so no matter how you look it, I'm the luckiest!

"When I am Baptized"

I like to look for rainbows
Whenever there is rain.
And ponder on the beauty
Of an earth made clean again.
I want my life to be as clean
As earth right after rain,
I want to be the best I can,
To live with God again.

Saturday the 5th was a big day for us. Spencer got baptized and Mike had the special privilege of baptizing and confirming him. Spencer was baptized in his stake center in West Valley. It was a really special day for a lot of reasons. Spencer was so excited to have so many people from all 3 sides of his family there. Afterwards we had a big party at his mom's sister's house. Considering that my family, Mike's family, and Mandy's family were all there (which could have been a REALLY bad and weird situation), it was surprisingly unawkward! Everyone mingled (for the most part) and all the kids had a great time.

It was an extra special treat to even get to have Mike's brother Ben and his wife Kir and their kids there all the way from California! It really meant a lot to us to have everyone there who was able to make it. It especially meant a lot to me to to have my Aunt Star and her daughter Brittany there when I had only informed her of the occasion less than 24 hours in advance. She knew how important it was to me and when she walked in I actually teared up. :) (Could be the pregnancy and the hormones talking there...)

Anyway, it was a beautiful baptism and the confirmation was really special too. The men on 3 sides of the family were able to stand in the circle for the confirmation and that was really neat. My brother-in-law Troy had a football game to coach for his son Brayden and unfortunately waiting for our turn to use the font was taking forever, then afterwards waiting for Spencer and Mike to get ready seemed to take forever too. Troy and Brayden were running late but they stayed and waited patiently so Troy could participate in the confirmation. It really meant so much to us.

Anyway, it was truly such a special day and we are so proud of Spencer for the great choices he is making in his life. He is such a wonderful boy and we love him more than words can express.
Here are Mike and Spencer in their baptismal suits--the classic pose in front of the picture of Jesus and John the Baptist. Here is Spencer with his Morgan Cousins who were able to make it to the baptism: Kate, Ian, Brennan, and Jacob (and of course Spencer on the end). Believe it or not, Ian, Brennan, and Spencer are the same age and all got baptized this year. Jake, the one between Spencer and Brennan--who is a little taller than both of them, is Ian's little brother who is 2 years younger than the other boys! Spencer loves all these cousins!

Here is Spencer with Grandma and Grandpa Morgan. And here is Spencer with my parents, Grandma and Grandpa Place.Last, but certainly not least, here is a picture of Spencer's immediate family. It's not your common nuclear family, but this is it! Mike, Me (and baby sister), Spencer, Mandy (Spencer's biological Mom) and Garrett (Spencer's brother).
