This is real life. The truth is, I'm not that great at it. But this is it, and it is my life. You want me to post pictures of what I wear every day? You'd have a collaboration of different yoga pants, and oversized t-shirts--some worn multiple days in a row {cringe}! You want to know my toddler lunch meal ideas? They often vary between dino nuggets, pb&j, or ravioli--but hey, at least it's the frozen kind and not Chef Boyardee...although that has made a few appearances! You want pictures of my home decor? Well my house is usually a mess. There are dishes in the sink and laundry to be put away. Most days, with my two crazy sidekicks calling the shots, I don't have time to shower, and rarely even do my hair {am I really admitting this in a public forum?!}! But this is life, and it is my life. And I'm lucky enough to get to share it with an amazing husband and the 3 cutest kids in the world, so no matter how you look it, I'm the luckiest!

LiTTLE STiNKERS

My kids are CRAZY.  I know all kids are total crazies, but I really do think my kids are even MORE crazy than usual.  :)  They are so active and ALWAYS getting into mischief.  My sister Kim gave me this (below) sign for my birthday and with these kids around, it is all too true.
Sometimes they get into the diaper cream...

Sometimes they poop in the sink.  Seriously...what the CRAP.  Melia said (her friend) Brinley was going on the potty, but she really had to go, so she just squatted in the sink.  (Cause that makes way more sense than GOING TO ANOTHER BATHROOM...).  UGH.  I suppose it's better than the floor...

Sometimes they bust into the fridge and eat cheese...by the block.

Other times they just climb around...(don't worry, he is wearing a diaper, NOT pooping in the sink.)

And sometimes they're just total divas.  :)
playing on the tablet while sitting on the throne

wearing mommy's glasses
And other times they just like to show off their bods and admire their reflections.
Check out that tan line

cutest little bummy
And sometimes they act like little princesses.  :)
 Or get into Mommy's makeup.

By themselves, or with cousins--enticing others to be equally as naughty!
Other times they throw food at the wall, and all around the kitchen.
Sometimes they climb on the counter and get into the sink, fully clothed, and give themselves a little bath.

They're also very talented at dressing themselves.  :)
They refuse to take naps and then fall asleep on the bathroom floor wrapped in the bathmat.
Even when they're sick, they manage to wreak havoc by get out the paint and paint their faces.
Other times they climb around and cram themselves into small spaces.
And at times those small spaces are too small to get back out of and they scream in distress.
Other times they take off all their clothes and run around naked enjoying the freedom!
And most of the time, being a major stinker is utterly exhausting.
But all the time, I love them to pieces.  (Even when I am relaxing on the couch and they insist on squeezing their way behind me, climbing on top of the couch, and sitting on my shoulders.)
 I sure adore them.

Pirate and Princess Adventure

We got tickets to see Disney Junior LIVE Pirate and Princess Adventure starring JAKE AND THE NEVERLAND PIRATES, and SOFIA THE FIRST which are the kids' two favorite TV shows.  They were so excited, especially Melia.  They both wanted to dress up like pirates.  I gave Melia the option of dressing like a princess--I had the outfit all planned out.  But she INSISTED she wanted to be a pirate!  :)

During the show, they were so mesmerized, I couldn't even get them to look at the camera.

Melia was pretty excited when Cinderella came out on stage with Sofia.
The kids even brought their cardboard Jake swords that Mike made them.
And when the pirates came out the kids were brandishing their swords and waving them all over.  It was my favorite part!

 Evera was seriously in awe.

Afterwards we got dinner at Zupas.  Evera DEVOURED his chocolate covered strawberry!  :)

Family Reunion 2011

This past week we had a non-formal Family reunion.  All but one of Mike's siblings were able to make it into town for at least part of the time.
The Chateau Morgan.  :)
Dave and Kristyn's car.  (Gotta love it!)   :)
And the rest of our cars.  There must be something in the Morgan Family Handbook about gray vans.  :)
We went to the Dinosaur Museum.  Melia LOVED the dinosaurs and threw a fit every time we tried to go from one dinosaur to the next because she didn't want to leave the previous one.
Here are Melia and Kennedy at the giant turtle.
THE DIG.  Morgan, Kennedy, and Melia excavating dinosaur bones.
Melia and Kennedy
Melia, Nate, Kennedy, Morgan, and Evan on the dig.
Is that guy looking at me?!
BIG dinosaur foot.
She really loved it.  :)
Melia loved playing with this steering wheel.  She had no idea what it was supposed to do, but she liked it anyway!
She loved looking through the glass at the dinosaurs and was seriously enthralled with each dinosaur.
Wearing her apron to play in the sand and water.
She liked the sand and water but was funny about getting her hands dirty.  Unfortunately she wasn't really tall enough to play as much as she would've liked.

Here are Melia and Evan at the big shark.
It was Spencer's first week of school so we didn't get to see him much but at least he was able to come over a few times.
Here's Melia loving her DANG Butterscotch Root Beer that Spencer and Hillary brought all the way from Milwaukee.  It was pretty good!  I'd rate it higher than Butterbeer!
Very few kids have made it through a night in Grandma and Grandpa's playhouse.  Shockingly though a bunch of the youngest kids decided to brave it and made it though!  Even as young as 3 years old.  Actually, I don't even think Vienna is 2 yet!  That's Vienna on the left, then Morgan, Kate, and Evan.  Unfortunately Miles is not in this picture.
Another night they slept in the castle.  I love this picture.  Miles and Kate.
I realize this is a completely random picture of Vienna, but isn't she beautiful?  (And you've gotta love the ready-to-explode diaper.  LOL!)

One of our big events for the week was going swimming at my parents' house.  My parents were out of town and when Mike and I got there, there was more water on the pool cover than I've ever seen before.  It was also broken.
The guys had to bail water (by the bucketful) off the cover for over an hour and I could only open the cover an inch at a time.  Then we'd have to bail another 10 min or so and go another couple inches.  It was crazy!

Eventually they formed an assembly line with the help of the younger boys too to dump the water.
Here are Carter and Evan on the swing.
Evan, Kate and Morgan on the teeter-totter.
Finally we were able to swim.  Here are Melia, Mike and I in the hot tub.
Carter being crazy.
My sweet girl.
Mom and Dad.
Fun in the hot tub.  I look like I'm smiling through a contraction here...I had a lot that night.
Mike and Melia.  Gotta love the life jacket.
Morgan and Kennedy jumping off their Dads' shoulders.
Morgan's jump.
Kennedy's jump.
Kate on the kiddie slide.
Evan on the kiddie slide.
Ian on the big slide.  Love that face!
Morgan and Kate in their matching suits.
Gotta love Kate's goggles.
Mike went down to Provo one day during work to meet the fam for lunch at J Dawg's.  I still have yet to eat there, but I've heard rave reviews!  :)
Here are some of the guys ready for the Oreo taste test.  :)  They bought all the different flavors they could find (including neopolitan, cool mint, fudge, etc.) and then everyone tasted them all...or something like that.  I'm bummed I missed it.  That's what I was most looking forward to.  Lol!
It was also both Mom and Dad's birthdays during the week!  So it was super fun to get to celebrate that.  Mom said she'd like everyone to come out for her birthday every year.  I can't believe she'd say that just because of all of the mess and chaos.  She obviously loves her family.  She cried when everyone left.  (My parents love their family too, don't get me wrong, but whenever we go over there they pretty much beg us to leave.  So it's very different with the Morgans.)
Here's the cute cake (big) Spencer ordered for them at Costco.  The 9959 are their ages upside down.  (66 and 65)
And dad had to do his "match trick" for the grandkids.  (He pretends to pull a hair out of his head, then wraps it around the match and pulls it and the match breaks...you'd have to see it to get it...the kids love it though!)  Here he is pulling out the "hair" for the trick.
Melia HAD been playing with Mike and I was in the family room talking to some of the family.  I knew Melia was playing at the kitchen table but I just assumed she was still with Mike as he'd been with her before.  I knew at least 3 of Mike's brothers were there at the table.  A while later Melia runs up to me with this face...COVERED in frosting.  Little did I know she was eating the leftovers of cake off each person's plate.  Mike apparently had not been at the table but I love that there were at least three grown men sitting at the table with her and none of them thought to stop her, or at least let me know she was eating her body weight in cake and mostly frosting!  Definitely a Morgan man thing--or just a man thing in general.
The RING LEADER in all his stylish glory!  :)
and ALL of this BECAUSE TWO PEOPLE FELL IN LOVE!
