 The Place family finally decided we like each other enough to finally do our first FAMILY REUNION EVER!!  And (drum roll) ... it was a BLAST!  :)

Participants included ALL living members of the ARTHUR AND VIRGINIA PLACE FAMILY except for newlyweds, Jett and Jill.  :(  {You two were VERY missed!}

We painted rocks.

(Melia and I painted the lady bug)

 And Angela made funny faces :)

Evera loved all the grass.

 And learned to climb the stairs.

 And was quite proud of himself.

 Melia loved dressing up as spider-girl!

 Ev had fun with all his cousins!

And everyone bonded

Melia had fun with Daddy

And had fun leading Ashley around like a puppy.

 John and Spence had fun together.

And Ev had fun with Spence too.

They really are happy but the sun was so bright...

 Angela offered comfort to all the little girls when they were sad.

 

 Jeffrey took care of business.

While the rest of us relaxed.

All the youngest daughters--Kali, Hannah, Ashley, Melia and Caroline.

We had the PLACE FAMILY OLYMPICS

 With lots of races!

Lizzie was a SUPER aggressive racer...

shoving everyone around her out of the way!

 Melia and Kali were ready in their racing stances...

Between the 3 youngest, Melia always lost! 

But she still loves running.

Even the adults raced!

And Mike creamed us all!

 There was backward racing

 And wheel barrow races

 

Spencer and Ryan won the wheel barrow race

 Sack races

Crab races

 And stink bug races

Which Evera totally won!  ;)

There were even prizes!

Melia LOOOVED her prize lip gloss!

We lined up and split into teams for tug-of-war

And my team dominated!  ;)

 Then we played water balloon volleyball

 

 

Which, of course, lead to a water fight! 

The old folks just observed.  :)

 We played lots of real volleyball too!

 The girls had fun painting nails

 And James and John had a sword fight.

Melia ate some cookies.

Bronson climbed the light post.

 

And John ran around in a mask.

Grandma played with the little kids.

 

And of course we played games.

 

 We went to the beach.

And played in the lake.

 And had fun at the pool too!

Caroline taught Melia the facts of life, and how to be a big girl.

 We played Minute to Win It

While the men laid around and watched TV.

And everyone looked like a fool!

 

 

 Evera played with Ash.

And Melia snuggled with Grandpa.

And we all had tons of fun!
