I helped with Melia's preschool Christmas party. Because I was helping, Evera got to come with me and they let him be included in everything. He had so much fun being like one of the big kids. And Melia is so sweet with him and watches out for him all the time.

How stinking cute are they together?
Here's Melia sitting on Santa's lap. :)
Ev was pretty excited about seeing Santa.
And I had to take a picture of Tyson with Santa too. Just cause he's so cute. :)
Evera really felt like one of the big kids sitting at the table doing a project.
Our ward also had a Christmas breakfast. Here are all the primary kids (and Evera of course) singing some primary songs about baby Jesus.
Oh I just think that girl is so darn beautiful.
The kids had fun decorating a giant gingerbread man for Christmas.
And this picture just KILLS me. Look at Evera looking at Spencer with such admiration. Oh my goodness, that little boy sure ADORES his big brother.
I love watching my family all work together.
It's always fun to have family in town for Christmas.
Evera ADORES his cousin Colton. Here is Ev looking at whatever Colton was working on on this computer. Evera was so interested just because he wants to do whatever Colton does. :) Colton was born with a rare kind of dwarfism called metatrophic displasia. Because of that it is more difficult for him to do normal things like walk, etc. As he ages, it progressively gets harder for him. Colton's body is hunched over when he walks and he swings his arms a lot to get the momentum to keep moving. Well Evera doesn't know that Colton is different, he just thinks Colton is awesome. Evera likes to walk like Colton sometimes. He used to only do it when Colton was around, but now I catch him doing it every now and then when we haven't even seen Colton recently. And he looks JUST LIKE HIM when he does it because he's studied Colton so closely. He seriously just admires him so much he wants to be just like him. I think it is so adorable. Other people might think he's making fun of Colton, but he's not. He is too little to even know what making fun of someone would be like. He just adores him and wants to do whatever he does. And I personally think Colton is a pretty great role model, so I'll take it!
Melia, Lydia and Vienna are so cute together. They got their nails painted and are showing off. Melia adores her cousins. For the Nativity, all 3 of these cuties wanted to be angels. Apparently something upset Melia. SOMEONE is always upset during the nativity. :) This picture cracks me up because Lydia is so dramatic, Vienna is so shy, and Melia is just so distressed.
Spencer and Brennan were Kings. They are being snobbish here. :)
Here are the angels admiring the baby.
And here's Mary with the angels admiring baby Jesus.
Here's the cutest nose-picking shepherd I ever did see! :)
Ah theres a smile!
And sweet little Tesla as our fat cow. :)
One of the favorite family traditions is the "Santa Letter" and gifts that Santa leaves in his big red bag on the porch every Christmas Eve. The letter tells all about what the family did over the year and talks a little about each person. It's so fun and Grandpa always reads it. Here are a bunch of the kids gathered around Grandma and Grandpa for the reading of the letter. (Poor little Evera was not feeling well and you can tell by his flushed cheeks--sweet boy.)
And here's Ev receiving his gift from the big red bag.
Melia wanted to make some chocolate milk and cookies for Santa. Here's Melia's stocking and Sofia dress from Santa.
And Evera's stocking and Bucky play ship.
And socks with Spencer's stocking! ;)
Here are the kids coming out on Christmas morning. (We didn't wake up Evera because he'd been sick.)
But he was excited about his presents when he woke up--although the picture does not show that. Poor kid really wasn't feeling well. :(
Spencer was excited about his new Vans.
I got a new shower cap. :) It was exactly what I'd wished for.
Merry Christmas ya'all!
