This is real life. The truth is, I'm not that great at it. But this is it, and it is my life. You want me to post pictures of what I wear every day? You'd have a collaboration of different yoga pants, and oversized t-shirts--some worn multiple days in a row {cringe}! You want to know my toddler lunch meal ideas? They often vary between dino nuggets, pb&j, or ravioli--but hey, at least it's the frozen kind and not Chef Boyardee...although that has made a few appearances! You want pictures of my home decor? Well my house is usually a mess. There are dishes in the sink and laundry to be put away. Most days, with my two crazy sidekicks calling the shots, I don't have time to shower, and rarely even do my hair {am I really admitting this in a public forum?!}! But this is life, and it is my life. And I'm lucky enough to get to share it with an amazing husband and the 3 cutest kids in the world, so no matter how you look it, I'm the luckiest!

Family Baby Shower

Here are some pictures from my first baby shower. My sisters (including my sister-in-law) and Mom threw this shower for me. It was mostly just family, although my mom's best friend Michelle and her daughter Sierra were there and so was my friend, Megan, and her mom Sharon. Sharon and Michelle have always been like second moms to me, so I had to have them at my family shower! My sisters and I used to always refer to Michelle as Momshell. :)

The above picture is the invitation to the shower. It was the cutest invitation I've ever seen for anything! Zelpha is my mom's mom and that first picture is her. The second is my mom and the third is me. Don't we all look so much alike? I absolutely loved this invitation. Props to my amazing sister Stephanie for creating it.

Here are a bunch of the women at the shower. I think I am introducing people in this picture.
Here's my sister Stephanie, her adorable daughter Kalia, my Aunt Star, and her daughter Brittany. Here's my sister-in-law Anne, my mother-in-law Kathy, my cousin Katie (she's actually my first-cousin-once-removed, but we just say cousin to make it easier because all the ones close to my age are once-removed), and my Aunt Mary.
These are some of the young girls who attended the shower (with the exception of Lizzie, Caroline, and Kalia). These are all nieces of mine, Mike's sister Anne's daughter Caylie, and my sister Kim's girls: Becca, Rachael, and Hannah. This picture was during one of the shower games. Here's my Aunt Star, Momshell, Megan, and Sharon. Here's my sister-in-law (my brother's wife) Angela, my cousin Derek's wife Jen, and me. This was one of my favorite parts of the shower. This vase was all the way full of pink Starbursts! Mmmm, my favorite! It was my sister-in-law Angela's idea (from reading my Starburst blog post) and it was so adorable! She went through multiple bags of Starbursts to get all these pinks. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it AT the shower and ended up taking the picture about a month later when a lot of the Starbursts had been eaten. You get the idea though! It was so sweet! Here are a couple of little blankets my mom made for the baby. The first one is flannel on one side with little teddy bears on it and the other side is pink Minky fabric. I absolutely LOVE Minky, it is so soft! The second of the blankets is flannel on both side and both sides have different Strawberry Shortcake patterns. Not only is it Strawberry Shortcake, but it's the ORIGINAL Strawberry Shortcake (or what I always referred to as Strawp) which was always my FAVORITE! I love Strawberry Shortcake! This is a lamp my mom gave me. It goes with the baby's bedroom set which is yet to be seen in photos on the blog. I am waiting until I get all her shelves up before I take the final photos of the room. This picture doesn't do the lamp justice though because you cannot see the little butterfly that hangs down from the lamp. It's what you pull to turn it on and it is so dang cute. This is the blanket and burp cloths that my Aunt Mary made for the baby. I had a "Mary Blankie" when I was a baby too (made by the same aunt). Mine was purple too. I thought these were so cute. They have sheep on them with a black sheep here and there too. Here's the Mother Goose book and little rabbit my Aunt Doris gave the baby. My little niece, Lizzie, sewed the little box-shaped soft toy on the left side and it has a little bell inside too. It's adorable. The pink monkey isn't from the shower, Mike won it for the baby at Lagoon by getting them to guess his age. They were 4 years off. In the foreground is the "Quiet Book" my sister Stephanie made for me. She sewed the whole thing and designed it all from scratch. It is so stinking cute I was amazed. She really is amazingly creative and crafty! This is an inside look at some of the pages in the quiet book. Isn't it so cute?

Now I only took pictures of a few of the things I was given, so if you gave me something and it's not on here, don't be offended. I got a ton of other awesome stuff for the baby. My sisters and moms on both sides went in together to get a travel system which is awesome. I also got a Diaper Genie, a Boppy pillow, an adorable monkey blanket, way cute clothes and much more. I seriously came away with an amazing loot. Thanks to everyone who came! I have the best family ever!
